Today I convinced Melisa to take part in a 30-day challenge where we do some form of focused exercise each day for 30 days, all while documenting our progress on the family blog (aka sixsmallhands.com, aka where you are on the web right now.) The main goal of the challenge is to instill a habit – something that’s been very hard for us to do (mainly because we’re so busy with the kids and house), but we both know we NEED to do it. Secondarily, I think it will be very interesting to see what kind of progress we make (how we feel, sleep, weight, etc.), so it will be fun to follow those changes. We’re hoping the blog encourages and motivates us to continue for the entire 30 days.
Main rules:
- Exercise at least 30 minutes per day, every day for 30 days.
- Post on the blog each day (only requirements: has to include what we did for exercise and our general thoughts on progress. If we want to get specific with pictures, actual weight, blood pressure, whatever… that is up to the individual.)
- One final wrap-up post on Day 31, recapping the last 30 days and progress.
To follow along, we’ll tag each related post with 30days, so you can see the archives in one spot.
Stay tuned. Post #1 tonight!
