Thanks for checking out the blog! I have to admit that our conversations about how funny and amazing our kids are inspired this very much!

I love the idea of reading to each other. I have lots of "couple" friends that have done that. We sometimes get carsick reading so it doesn't work that well, but a nice evening in is perfect. When we travel we load up the IPod with a bunch of NPR "This American Life" programs for our trips to Albany and listen to them as a family through the radio/IPod. Its also on the radio Friday and Saturday nights on 88.7 WBFO in our area. They are stories of regular people in America told through interviews with them. They aren't the "Jerry Springer" style, but are everyday people that have truly fascinating stories. If you haven't heard this program its incredible and free! Another one we listen to is Radio Lab (like This American Life, but about science and medical stuff) from Public Radio NYC. Then again, playing "guess the band" is always a good thing to play with the IPod and pass the time in the car!

Thanks for reading! Looking forward your suggestions and comments as always!

HI! Just checking out your site..love it! I don't have much time...the boys are on their way back from a bike ride...but wanted to add...I love the book Into the Wild. Deke and I read it on vacation (when we drive somewhere, we each take turns reading the book out loud to each other while they other is driving) Much better than the books on CD. We both enjoyed that book. Let us know how the new book is going.
